"Same Tense" is the first instalment of a long term personal project of photographers Caimi and Piccinni. It consists of a selection of raw and unfiltered analogue black and white photographs documenting daily life, nature, sex, strangers, family members or friends. It is entirely made with point and shoot cameras with an instinctive non-rational approach.

This series represents a selection from the continuation of a long term project, where we started to bridle the compulsive instinct driving the personal side of our photographic production. Thousands of negative strips, forming some kind of timeline, have been juxtaposed, logically ordered or randomly reordered to disclose new and ever changing scenarios. The interpretations that have emerged from this process unhinged the linear concept of time and brought us to different and multilayered dimensions. We tried to emancipate from the univocal concept of photography as a memory, to dangerously lean on the future.
