The out-of-the-ordinary music scene emerged in the Mberra refugee camp, sheltering 50,000 people in the 48° hot desert on the border with Mali. Despite the harsh living conditions of people fleeing multiple conflicts and the rise of terrorism, a group of Arab and Tuareg refugee musicians began to make music together. A unique musical style was born, a mixture of ancient melodies, blues and improvisation. The sound of the desert, a sound of hope.
