WAR SCARS

The conflict in Ukraine has taken its toll: a civil war, two ceasefires, 9,000 Ukrainian deaths (50,000 according to German intelligence sources), the world geopolitical order in jeopardy and a new era of cold war always looming. Against this frightening backdrop, embittered, exhausted and wounded soldiers and volunteers return from the front line. Many of them suffering from serious wounds are crowding hospitals or recovering at home. A huge mass of young veterans is the living symbol of this new tragic scar of the European war.
